The Practitioner
leaves the room - in between sets of moves to allow the body to interpret them and for the body to respond in
the most optimal way. These breaks are a fundamental part of the Bowen Technique. These breaks allow stimulation
of the parasympathetic nervous system; a state where the healing process is at its greatest.
A Bowen Practitioner
is like a plumber or an electrician. They deal with the circuit breaks and switches of the nervous system and the congestion
and blockages occurring in the pipes and drains of the lymphatic system.

What happens during a Bowen treatment?
Thumbs or fingers are used to make a series
of precise, rolling-type moves over muscles, ligaments and tendons, sending the body and mind into a relaxed state almost
immediately after the first few moves have been made. An initial consultation and treatment takes approx. 1 hour.
Further treatments can take between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
